Osage Beach is a city in Missouri, located near the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. It's mostly in Camden County, with a small part in Miller County. In 2020, about 4,637 people lived here.

History of Osage Beach
Osage Beach started as a town called Zebra in 1886. Later, in 1935, its name was changed to Osage Beach. The city officially became an incorporated city in 1959.
When the Lake of the Ozarks was created, much of the original town of Zebra was flooded. Most of the businesses there decided not to rebuild in the new area.
Geography and Location
Osage Beach covers about 10.33 square miles (26.75 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water. The city is right on the shores of the Lake of the Ozarks.

US Route 54 goes right through Osage Beach. This route connects the city north to Jefferson City and south to Camdenton.

Osage Beach in Popular Culture
The TV show Ozark is set in Osage Beach. In 2017, it was reported that the show helped make the Lake of the Ozarks more famous and brought more tourists. In 2018, a restaurant called "Marty Byrde's" opened in Lake Ozark, Missouri, inspired by the show. It even has menu items named after characters!
