Anetz (pronounced "an-ETZ") was a small town, also known as a commune, located in western France. It was part of the Loire-Atlantique area. On January 1, 2016, Anetz joined with another commune to form a new, larger town called Vair-sur-Loire. This means Anetz is no longer a separate commune on its own.

As you can see, the population was around 900 people in 1793. It grew to over 1,200 in the early 1800s, then slowly decreased for many years. By the mid-1900s, it was quite small, around 500-600 people. However, from the 1960s onwards, Anetz started to grow again, reaching over 1,800 people by 2009. This growth shows that more families chose to live in the area over time.
