Angela Patrice Hill (born January 12, 1985) is an American mixed martial artist. She is known for competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Angela fights in the women's Strawweight division. Before joining the UFC, she was a champion in the Invicta Fighting Championships. She also held a championship title in the World Kickboxing Association. As of November 2024, she is ranked among the top strawweight fighters in the UFC.

Angela's Early Life and Hobbies
Angela Hill was born on January 12, 1985. She earned a degree in fine arts from the Cooper Union school. Before becoming a professional fighter, Angela worked as an animator. She also spent some time working as a bartender.
Angela is a big fan of video games and cosplay. Cosplay is when people dress up as characters from movies, games, or comics. Angela has appeared in costume before her fights at Invicta. She has dressed up as characters like Dhalsim and Afro Samurai. She also cosplayed as a Vault Dweller from Fallout and a character from The Warriors.

Angela Hill is known for her exciting fighting style. She has a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. This martial art focuses on grappling and ground fighting. Her nickname is "Overkill." She is known for her striking skills, which she developed through her kickboxing background.

Starting Her MMA Career
Angela Hill began her professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career in 2014. Her first fight was a win against Stephanie Skinner.
The Ultimate Fighter Show
In 2014, Angela was chosen to be on a TV show called The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned. This show helps new fighters get into the UFC. She fought Carla Esparza in her first match on the show. Angela lost this fight by submission in the first round.
Fighting in the UFC
Angela's first UFC fight after the show was in December 2014. She won against Emily Kagan. Later, she faced Tecia Torres and Rose Namajunas, but lost both fights. After these losses, she left the UFC for a short time.
Becoming a Champion in Invicta FC
In 2015, Angela signed with Invicta Fighting Championships. She quickly made a name for herself there.
- In January 2016, she won her debut fight against Alida Gray by TKO.
- Just two months later, she knocked out Stephanie Eggink. This win earned her a "Performance of the Night" bonus.
- In May 2016, Angela fought Lívia Renata Souza for the Invicta FC Strawweight title. She won the fight and became the new champion!
Returning to the UFC
After becoming a champion, Angela returned to the UFC in 2017.
- Her first fight back was against Jéssica Andrade. Angela lost this fight, but it was so exciting that both fighters earned a "Fight of the Night" bonus.
- She then won against Ashley Yoder in July 2017.
- Angela continued to face tough opponents. She won against Maryna Moroz in 2018.
- She had many close fights, often going the full distance. She won against Jodie Esquibel in 2019.
- In September 2019, she won against Ariane Carnelossi by doctor's stoppage.
- Angela also won against Hannah Cifers and Loma Lookboonmee in early 2020.
- She had a very close fight with Michelle Waterson in September 2020. Angela lost by a small margin, but it was another "Fight of the Night" performance.
- In 2021, she won her rematch against Ashley Yoder.
- Angela faced Lupita Godinez in August 2022 and won by unanimous decision.
- She also won against Emily Ducote in December 2022.
- In May 2023, she fought Mackenzie Dern in a main event fight. She lost, but again, it was a "Fight of the Night" winner.
- Angela won her fight against Denise Gomes in November 2023.
