Angela Schijf is a popular Dutch-Belgian actress. She is famous for her role as police officer Eva van Dongen in the long-running Dutch TV series Flikken Maastricht, which she has starred in since 2007. Many people also know her from the animated show Braceface and the soap opera Goede tijden, slechte tijden.

Acting Career

Angela became a household name in the Netherlands when she played Kim Verduyn in the TV show Goede tijden, slechte tijden from 1996 to 1999. This role made her very famous.

After acting in many different movies and TV shows, she landed her most well-known role in 2007. She began playing Eva van Dongen in the police drama Flikken Maastricht. The show is very successful and finished filming its nineteenth season in 2024.

Besides screen acting, Angela also performs in the theater. From 2014 to 2016, she toured the Netherlands and Belgium with a play called Kreutzersonate, als het verlangen maar stopt. The play was inspired by a book called The Kreutzer Sonata by the famous author Leo Tolstoy. She performed in the play with her husband and two musicians.

Personal Life

On July 3, 2002, Angela married Belgian actor Tom Van Landuyt. They have three daughters together.

The family lived in Antwerp, Belgium, for 11 years. In 2013, Angela became a Belgian citizen in addition to being Dutch. She has said that she feels she is just as much Belgian as she is Dutch.
