Aspe is a lively town and a municipality in Spain. It is located in the Alicante province, within an area called Vinalopó Mitjà.

This town sits in the beautiful valley of the Vinalopó river. It's about 25 kilometers (15 miles) away from Alicante city. Aspe's economy is strong, focusing on making textiles (like fabrics) and footwear (shoes). People also do a lot of farming here, growing tasty vegetables and fruits.

Aspe is especially famous for a special kind of grape. These grapes are eaten all over Spain at midnight on New Year's Eve. People eat one grape for each chime of the clock as it strikes 12, welcoming the new year!

The town has a small number of people from other countries, mainly from the Netherlands and England. The local way of speaking Spanish, called Castilian, is known for dropping the "s" sound and using seseo (where 'c' and 'z' sound like 's').
