Angiola was once an important stop along a railway line. This line was first built by the San Francisco and San Joaquin Valley Railroad. Later, it became part of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Valley Division. The railroad played a big role in connecting communities like Angiola.
How Angiola Got Its Name
The community of Angiola was named after a person! It was given the name in honor of Angela Bacigalupi. She was the wife of a landowner who lived in the area.
