The Anglesey Coastal Path is a long walking trail. It goes around the beautiful island of Anglesey in Wales, which is part of the United Kingdom. This path is about 140 miles (225 km) long. It is also a special part of the bigger Wales Coast Path.

About the Path

The Anglesey Coastal Path follows the edge of the island. It goes almost all the way around, except for two small areas. These areas are Plas Newydd and a section near the Afon Alaw river. The path begins in Holyhead.

Most of the path goes through public land. This means it's land that anyone can use. A small part of the path crosses private land. However, the owners of this land have given permission for walkers to pass through. The path also goes through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is a special area protected for its beautiful scenery.

Building the path cost about £1.4 million. It was built by two groups: Menter Môn and the Isle of Anglesey County Council. The path officially opened on June 9, 2006. Rhodri Morgan, who was the First Minister of Wales at the time, opened it.
