Anita L. Barone (born September 25, 1964) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in many popular TV shows. Some of these include The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Daddio, Shake It Up, The War at Home, and Friends.

Anita Barone's Life and Acting Career
Anita Barone was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 25, 1964. She loved acting and studied it in college. She earned a special degree called a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the University of Detroit. Later, she earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in theatre from Wayne State University.
Early TV Roles
In the early 1990s, Anita was a regular on Carol & Company. This show starred the famous actress Carol Burnett. Anita also appeared in an episode of Seinfeld. In that episode, called "The Shoes", she played a chef named Gail Cunningham.
Playing Carol in Friends
One of her most well-known early roles was playing Carol Willick in Friends. Carol was Ross Geller's ex-wife. Anita played the character in her very first appearance on the show. She later left Friends because she wanted a more full-time acting job. Another actress, Jane Sibbett, then took over the role of Carol.
Starring in Sitcoms
After Friends, Anita starred in several other sitcoms. She was on The Jeff Foxworthy Show for its first season (1995–1996). From 2005 to 2007, she played a main role in The War at Home. In 2000, she also co-starred in the show Daddio.

Anita has appeared in many other television shows. These include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Quantum Leap, and Castle. She also had roles in Ally McBeal, Party of Five, and Desperate Housewives.

In 2004, Anita won an award for her acting in a movie. She received the 2005 Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award for her work in the film One Last Ride.
In 2010, Anita started a recurring role on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up. She played Officer Georgia Jones, who was the mother of CeCe Jones (played by Bella Thorne). Interestingly, Anita's real-life husband, actor Matthew Glave, also appeared on Shake It Up. He played J.J. Jones, the ex-husband of Anita's character.
Personal Life
Anita Barone is married to actor Matthew Glave. They have two daughters together, named Madeline and Roxanne. The family lives in Los Angeles.
