Anita L. Barone (born September 25, 1964) is an American actress. She is famous for her roles in popular TV comedies. These include The Jeff Foxworthy Show, The War at Home, and the Disney Channel show Shake It Up.

Early Life and Education
Anita Barone was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She loved acting from a young age and decided to study it in college.
She went to the University of Detroit Mercy and earned a degree in fine arts. Later, she earned a master's degree in theatre from Wayne State University. This extra training helped her become a skilled actress.
Acting Career
Barone has appeared in many popular television shows since the 1990s. She is known for being a versatile actress who can play many different types of characters.
Famous TV Roles
One of her first big roles was in the show Carol & Company with the famous comedian Carol Burnett. She also had a memorable guest part in the popular sitcom Seinfeld.
In 1994, Barone played Carol Willick in the first-ever episode of the hit show Friends. She played the ex-wife of the character Ross Geller. She left the show to find a bigger role and was replaced by another actress.
From 2005 to 2007, she starred as Vicky Gold in the family sitcom The War at Home. She also played the main character's wife, Karen Foxworthy, in the first season of The Jeff Foxworthy Show.
Work with Disney
Many younger fans know Barone from the Disney Channel series Shake It Up. From 2010 to 2013, she played Georgia Jones, the mother of CeCe Jones, who was played by Bella Thorne.
Her real-life husband, Matthew Glave, also appeared in two episodes of the show. He played her character's ex-husband, J.J. Jones.
