In 1946, Ann James moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in Canada. She continued her art studies at the University of Saskatchewan. There, she learned from famous artists like Arthur McKay, Kenneth Lochhead, and Jack Sures. She also attended special art workshops called the Emma Lake Artist's Workshops. These workshops helped her grow as an artist.

A Life of Art and Teaching

Ann James was not only an artist but also a dedicated teacher. She moved back to London, England, in 1976. In both Canada and the United Kingdom, she led many workshops. She also gave lectures and demonstrations. She taught sculpture and ceramics at the Chelsea College of Arts. Ann James passed away in London in 2011.
