Anna Carina Copello Hora (born August 14, 1981) is a Peruvian pop singer. People often call her the "Queen of Peruvian Pop." In 2010, she was nominated for several big awards, like Soloist of the Year and Latin Song of the Year at the Premios Orgullosamente Latino.

About Anna Carina

Anna Carina Copello Hora was born in Lima, Peru, on August 14, 1981. Her older sister is María Pía Copello, a famous children's TV host in Peru. Anna Carina started her career early, even appearing on the TV show Nubeluz.

She has also written songs for different charity events in Peru. But her main goal has always been her own music career. In 1998, she represented Peru at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. She sang "Hay Un Modo," a song written by Pedro Suárez-Vértiz. She placed second in the competition.

Her First Albums

In 2002, Anna Carina released her first solo album, called Algo Personal. This album had 16 songs. They were a mix of pop, rock, ballads, and dance music. The album also included "Hay Un Modo," the song she sang at Viña del Mar.

The first song from the album, "Crazy Love," quickly became popular with young people. It was played a lot on local radio stations. Anna Carina toured different places, performing her new songs.

After this album, Anna Carina took a break for a couple of years. During this time, she started writing songs for a children's TV show called "Maria Pia & Timoteo."

In 2003, Anna Carina began planning her second album. She felt brave and had new life experiences to share. She also got a chance to be a VJ (video jockey) on OK TV, a popular music channel in Peru. This helped her stay updated on new music.

Her second album, Espiral, came out in 2005. It had 10 songs and showed how much she had grown as an artist. The songs were mostly pop and rock. They talked about life experiences, hopes, loves, and even dislikes.

Later Music and Awards

On July 14, 2010, Anna Carina announced her new album, AnnaCarinaPop. This album mixed pop with different rhythms inspired by the 1980s. It was released on June 15, 2010. The first song, "Cielo Sin Luz," came out in March and was a big hit in Peru and other countries. The second song from the album was "Ya Fue Demasiado." Later that year, she won a Premio Esmeralda Musical (Musical Emerald Award). This award was for her popular song "Más Allá De Ti" from 2005.

In 2014, she started releasing songs for her fifth album, Sola Y Bien Acompañada, which came out in 2015. Around that time, she became a mom again after 12 years. Since then, she has released several songs in an urban pop style. These songs are expected to be on her next album. She is currently working with Sony Music. In 2019, she was nominated for Singer of the Year at the Premios Fama. Her song "Callao" was also nominated for Best Pop/Urban Song.

In May 2020, she got sick with COVID-19. A month later, she shared on Instagram that she had recovered from the virus.

In September 2020, she appeared in the music video for her sister María Pía Copello's first song, "Like." Her niece and mom were also in the video. A month later, Anna Carina released her latest hit song, "Dame Tu Cariño," with Colombian singer Gusi.
