Anna Carina Copello Hora, born on August 14, 1981, is a famous Peruvian pop singer. Many people call her the "Queen of Peruvian Pop" because of her amazing music. In 2010, she was nominated for several big awards at the Premios Orgullosamente Latino. These included Soloist of the Year and Latin Song of the Year.

Anna Carina's Early Life and Career

Anna Carina Copello Hora was born in Lima, Peru, on August 14, 1981. She is the younger sister of María Pía Copello, a well-known Peruvian children's TV host. Anna Carina started her journey in entertainment by being part of the TV show Nubeluz.

She has also used her talent to help others. Anna Carina has written songs for different charity campaigns in Peru. However, her main goal has always been her solo music career.

Representing Peru in Music

In 1998, Anna Carina represented Peru at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. She sang a song called "Hay Un Modo" which was written by Pedro Suárez-Vértiz. She did very well, finishing in second place in the international competition.

In 2002, Anna Carina released her first solo album, Algo Personal. This album had 16 songs that mixed pop, rock, ballads, and dance music. It also included her famous song "Hay Un Modo." The first song from the album, "Loco Amor," quickly became popular with young people. Its music video was directed by Juan Carlos Oganes.

After this, Anna Carina took a short break from the stage. During this time, she started writing songs for a children's TV show called "Maria Pia & Timoteo."

In 2003, Anna Carina began working on ideas for her second album. She also got a chance to be a VJ (video jockey) on OK TV, a popular music channel in Peru. This helped her stay updated with new music trends.

Her second album, Espiral, came out in 2005. It had 10 songs and showed how much she had grown as an artist. The songs on this album were mostly pop and rock. They shared her life experiences, thoughts, and feelings.

On June 15, 2010, Anna Carina released her album AnnaCarinaPop. This album focused on pop music with some influences from the 1980s. The first song from this album, "Cielo Sin Luz," was released in March and became a hit both in Peru and other countries. Later that year, she received a Premio Esmeralda Musical (Musical Emerald Award) for her 2005 hit song Más Allá De Ti.

Recent Projects and Achievements

In 2014, Anna Carina began releasing songs for her fifth album, Sola Y Bien Acompañada, which came out in 2015. Around this time, she also became a mom again after many years. Since then, she has released several new songs in an urban pop style. She is currently working with Sony Music.

In 2019, she was nominated for Singer of the Year at the Premios Fama. Her song Callao was also nominated for Best Pop/Urban Song.

In May 2020, Anna Carina shared that she had COVID-19. A month later, she happily announced on Instagram that she had recovered from the virus.

In September 2020, she appeared in the music video for her sister María Pía Copello's first song, Like. Her niece and mom also appeared in the video. A month later, Anna Carina released her hit song Dame Tu Cariño with Colombian singer Gusi.
