Anna Heather Frost (born 1 November 1981) is an amazing athlete from New Zealand. She is famous for her skills in trail running and ultramarathons. Trail running means running on paths through nature, like mountains or forests. An ultramarathon is a super long race, much longer than a regular marathon! Anna is often called "Frosty" by her fans.

Anna Frost's Running Adventures

Anna Frost became a professional runner in 2004. This means she started running as her job. Later, she joined Team Salomon, a group of top athletes sponsored by the Salomon company.

Big Wins in 2012

In 2012, Anna had a fantastic year. She won the Transvulcania ultramarathon, a tough race in the Canary Islands. She finished in a record time of 8 hours, 11 minutes, and 31 seconds! That same year, she also won the Speedgoat 50K race in Utah, USA. A 50K race is about 31 miles long. She also came in first at the Maxi-Race in Annecy, France.

Skyrunner World Series Champion

In 2010, Anna Frost showed she was one of the best in the world. She won the overall title in the Skyrunner World Series. This series includes many challenging races that often go up and down mountains. Her wins in this series included the Table Mountain Challenge and the Three Peaks Race.

Conquering 100-Mile Races

Anna took on an even bigger challenge in 2014. She raced in the Bear 100 Mile Endurance Run in Utah. This was her first time trying a 100-mile race, and she won it! Winning this race helped her qualify for another very tough race called the Hardrock 100 in Colorado. The next year, in 2015, she won the Hardrock 100 too! She even won it again in 2016.

Anna's Life Outside Running

In 2015, a project called SisuGirls started releasing books for middle schoolers. These books tell true stories about women who are active in sports and adventure. The very first book in this series was called Fearless Frosty. It was written by Chloe Chick and is all about Anna Frost's inspiring journey.
