Annalisa Scarrone (born August 5, 1985), known simply as Annalisa, is a popular Italian singer, songwriter, and music producer. She became famous after appearing on the Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2010–2011, where she finished second.
Annalisa has participated in the Sanremo Music Festival many times. She reached the top three twice, in 2018 and 2024. In 2023, her song "Mon amour" became a number one hit in Italy. This made her the first female solo artist to achieve this in over three years. She has received several awards, including a Global Force Award at the Billboard Women in Music 2024. This was a first for an Italian artist. She also won two MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2023, Forbes Italia recognized her as one of the "100 successful women in Italy."
Annalisa has released 8 albums and 45 singles. She has earned many platinum and gold awards for her music. She has sold over 4.8 million copies in Italy, making her one of the best-selling Italian female artists. She has also written songs for other artists and worked with many famous musicians. From 2015 to 2019, she hosted a TV show about famous scientists. In 2024, an asteroid was named Annalisa in her honor.

Early Life and Education
Annalisa Scarrone grew up in Carcare, Italy. She started studying music and singing when she was very young. From the age of 13, she worked as a bartender and musician. She attended the University of Turin and earned a degree in physics in 2009. In June 2023, Annalisa married Francesco Muglia in Assisi.
Music Journey
Starting Out: Nali, Mentre tutto cambia, and Non so ballare (2011–2013)

In 2011, Annalisa joined the 10th season of Amici di Maria De Filippi. She came in second place and also won the critics' prize. Her first album, Nali, was released in March 2011. It quickly reached number 2 on the Italian album charts and became a platinum-selling album. Her first single, "Diamante lei e luce lui", was also very popular.
Her second album, Mentre tutto cambia, came out in 2012. The song "Senza riserva" from this album was certified platinum. Annalisa also sang "Pirati" for the Italian version of the movie Ice Age: Continental Drift.
In 2013, Annalisa competed in the Sanremo Music Festival 2013 with her song "Scintille". Her third album, Non so ballare, was released around the same time. She also represented Italy in the OGAE Song Contest with "Alice e il blu", finishing third. Later that year, she won the International Song Contest: The Global Sound with "Scintille". One of her songs, "Tutto sommato", was even used in a Dutch film.
New Albums: Splende and Se avessi un cuore (2014–2016)
In 2014, Annalisa released "Sento solo il presente", which was a preview of her fourth album. This song reached number seven on the Italian singles chart. She also co-wrote a song called "Siamo amore" for another artist. In September 2014, she released "L'ultimo addio".
Annalisa competed in the Sanremo Music Festival 2015 with "Una finestra tra le stelle". This song, along with her previous singles, was part of her fourth album, Splende, released in February 2015. "Una finestra tra le stelle" became a platinum hit. The song "Vincerò" from Splende also became very popular.
In 2016, Annalisa returned to the Sanremo Music Festival 2016 with "Il diluvio universale". This song was from her fifth album, Se avessi un cuore, which reached number four on the Italian charts. The title track, "Se avessi un cuore", was also a gold-certified hit.
Bye Bye and Nuda (2017–2021)
Annalisa released her sixth album, Bye Bye, in February 2018. It reached number two on the charts and was certified platinum. She participated in the Sanremo Music Festival 2018 for the fourth time with "Il mondo prima di te", finishing third. Other popular singles from this album included "Bye Bye" and "Un domani".
In 2019, she released "Vento sulla luna". In 2020, she released "Houseparty" and collaborated with other artists. Her seventh album, Nuda, came out in September 2020. She competed in the Sanremo Music Festival 2021 with "Dieci", which became a double platinum hit. In May 2021, "Movimento lento" was released and became a triple platinum success.
Recent Success: E poi siamo finiti nel vortice (2022–present)
In June 2022, Annalisa was featured on the song "Tropicana" by Boomdabash. This song reached number 3 on the Italian charts and was certified quadruple platinum.
Her single "Bellissima" was released in September 2022. Annalisa described it as a new step in her music. The song became very popular, reaching number 7 on the Italian singles chart. It was certified quintuple platinum and became a huge trend on TikTok, with many people creating dance videos to it.
In March 2023, Annalisa released "Mon amour". She said it was the next part of the story from "Bellissima". This song was incredibly successful, topping both the Italian airplay and singles charts. It was certified five times platinum and was one of the biggest selling songs of 2023 in Italy. It also became the most used song on TikTok in Italy that year.
In May 2023, Annalisa released "Disco Paradise" with Fedez and Articolo 31. This song reached number three on the Italian singles chart and was certified quintuple platinum. In June 2023, she announced her eighth album, E poi siamo finiti nel vortice, which was released in September 2023. She also announced her first arena tour.
The album's third single, "Ragazza sola", was released in September 2023. Annalisa explained that this song was about embracing change and finding yourself. It topped the Italian airplay chart for three weeks and was certified platinum.
E poi siamo finiti nel vortice debuted at number one on the Italian albums chart, becoming her first album to do so. It was certified double platinum. In November 2023, "Euforia" was released as the fourth single. Annalisa performed this song and others on the Italian X Factor. An Amazon Music Edition of her album was also released, including a cover of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)".
Annalisa competed in the Sanremo Music Festival 2024 with "Sinceramente", finishing third. The song reached number two on the Italian singles chart and was certified quadruple platinum. In May 2024, she was featured on the song "Beatrice" by Tedua, which became her second number one single. In June 2024, she released "Storie brevi" with Tananai, which was added to her album. This song reached number 2 on the Italian singles chart and was certified double platinum.
In February 2025, Annalisa was a guest performer at the Sanremo Music Festival 2025 with Giorgia, singing a cover of "Skyfall".
