About Tedua
Tedua, whose real name is Mario Molinari, was born in Genoa. When he was young, he lived with his maternal grandmother in Milan for a few years. Later, as a teenager, he moved to Cogoleto, a town near Genoa.
It was in Cogoleto that he met the friends who would become part of Wild Bandana. When Mario was 13, he met Vaz Tè at school. Through Vaz Tè, he then met Izi. These three, along with other friends, started making music together. Mario first chose the stage name Incubo (which means Nightmare), but he later changed it to Duate, and then finally to Tedua.
Tedua's Music Style
Tedua's music style is mostly known as drill. Drill music is a type of hip hop that often has a strong, rhythmic beat.
Critics have different opinions about Tedua's unique style. Some really like how he brings new ideas to his music, while others are not so sure. However, the drill sounds in his songs help him express his thoughts and life experiences. He often says his music is like a "stream of consciousness," meaning it flows out like his thoughts.
Tedua has shared that he gets a lot of inspiration from the Italian rapper Dargen D'Amico. He learned the idea of music as a "stream of consciousness" from D'Amico. For example, in Tedua's album Mowgli, there's a song called Acqua (malpensandoti). The chorus of this song is a tribute to D'Amico's song Malpensandoti.
Besides Dargen D'Amico, Tedua also looks up to other rappers like Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, and Maino.
