About Tedua
Tedua, whose real name is Mario Molinari, was born in Genoa, Italy. When he was young, he lived with his maternal grandmother in Milan for a few years. Later, he moved to Cogoleto, a town near Genoa.
It was in Cogoleto that he met the friends who would become part of Wild Bandana. At 13, Mario met Vaz Tè at school. Through Vaz Tè, he then met Izi. These three, along with other friends, started making music together. Mario first chose the stage name Incubo (meaning Nightmare), but he later changed it to Duate, and then to Tedua.
Tedua's Music Style
Tedua's music style is mostly known as drill. Drill music is a type of hip hop that often has a strong beat and lyrics about real-life experiences.
Music critics have different opinions about Tedua's style. Some really like his new ideas, while others are not so sure. However, the drill sounds in his music help him share his thoughts and life experiences. This is a big part of his artistic style.
Tedua has said that he gets ideas from the Italian rapper Dargen D'Amico. He learned from D'Amico to see music as a "stream of consciousness." This means expressing thoughts and feelings as they come to mind. For example, in his album Mowgli, there is a song called "Acqua (malpensandoti)." Its chorus is inspired by D'Amico's song "Malpensandoti."
Besides Dargen D'Amico, Tedua also gets inspiration from other rappers. These include Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, and Maino.
