Ice Age: Continental Drift is a fun 2012 American computer animated adventure and comedy movie. It is also known as Ice Age 4. This movie was directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier. The story was written by Jason Fuchs and Michael Berg. Many famous actors lent their voices to the characters. These include Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, Peter Dinklage, Wanda Sykes, Drake, and Nicki Minaj.
This film is the fourth movie in the popular Ice Age series. It was made by Blue Sky Studios and released by 20th Century Fox. It was the first Ice Age movie not directed by Carlos Saldanha. It was also the second Ice Age movie to be shown in Digital 3D. The movie came out in the United States on July 13, 2012.

The Story of Continental Drift
This movie follows the adventures of Manny the mammoth, Sid the sloth, and Diego the saber-toothed tiger. Their world changes when the continents begin to split apart. This event is called continental drift.
The main herd gets separated from Manny's family. Manny, Sid, and Diego find themselves floating on an iceberg. They meet new and exciting characters on their journey. They also face a dangerous pirate crew led by the evil Captain Gutt.

Originally, Jeremy Renner was planned to voice Captain Gutt. However, he had to leave the project due to other filming commitments. Jennette McCurdy was also set to voice Peaches but had to drop out because of her TV show schedule.

The Ice Age story continued with a sequel. The next movie in the series was called Ice Age: Collision Course. It was released a few years later, on July 22, 2016.
