Anne-Marie decided to create Stemettes after going to a STEM workshop. She noticed that there weren't many women or non-binary people in STEM jobs. She believes it's important to have different kinds of people in all jobs, especially in STEM.

The main goal of Stemettes is to get young women and non-binary people interested in STEM. They want to teach them, connect them with others, and make sure everyone feels included. In 2022, Anne-Marie also released a book called She's in CTRL. It's a guide for women who want to work in STEM.

In 2019, Anne-Marie hosted a podcast called Women Tech Charge for The Evening Standard. On the show, she talked to many famous people. These included tech leaders like Jack Dorsey and celebrities like Rachel Riley and Lewis Hamilton.

She is also a trustee for the Institute for the Future of Work. This group studies how to make work better for everyone. She is part of the council at the Royal College of Art and Research England. She also advises the British Library.
