Annie Chen Ting-ni (Chinese: 陳庭妮) is a famous actress, host, and model from Taiwan. She was born on April 28, 1989.

Annie first became known when she won the Kaiwo Phantasy Star Catwalk Girl modeling contest in 2007. The next year, she started her acting career. She played the main character, Zhao Ke Rou, in the TV show Prince + Princess 2.

Annie Chen's Early Life and Education

Annie Chen was born in Taichung, Taiwan. She is an only child. She went to Viator Catholic High School for junior high. Later, she graduated from Shin Min High School.

Annie studied finance at Kainan University. She started working during her last year of college. She later took a break from her studies at Hsing Wu University of Science and Technology to focus on her career.

Starting as a Model and Actress (2007–2008)

In 2007, Annie joined a modeling competition called The First Kaiwo "Phantasy Star" CatwalkGirl. She won the top prize! After her win, she joined Catwalk Production House. This led to many new chances for her.

She became a VJ host for MTV Taiwan. She also appeared in many advertisements. Annie was a popular cover model for magazines too. In 2008, she acted in a music video for singer Judy Chou. Soon after, she got her first acting role. She starred as Zhao Kerou in the CTS show Prince + Princess 2.

Starring in TV Shows (2009–2011)

In 2009, Annie appeared in Will Pan's music video for "Silence Room for Rent." She also played Zhang Kaili in CTV's show Momo Love.

Annie got two main roles in TV shows in 2010. One was Happy and Love Forever. This was the first part of the Happy of the Rings TV series. She played Pan Xiao Nuo, a girl who meets Yin Ding Qiang by chance. Her next show was CTS' Volleyball Lover. In this, she played Xin Haijing, a volleyball player. Annie also starred in Public Television's Goodbye as Zhao Zhong Ci.

In 2011, Annie appeared in Sunny Happiness, the second part of the Happy of the Rings series. She continued her role as Pan Xiao Nuo. She also had a supporting role as Sa Xia in CTS' Material Queen. By the end of 2011, Annie was cast as the main female lead, Song Yi Jie, in the SETTV show Inborn Pair.

Popular Roles in Love Now and Love Around (2012–2013)

Annie Chen continued her role as Pan Xiao Nuo in Happy Michelin Kitchen. This was the third and final part of the Happy of the Rings series.

After her successful show Inborn Pair in 2012, Annie filmed Love, Now. She traveled to Boracay, Philippines for this show. Her co-star was George Hu. Annie played Yang Yi-ru, a busy person who goes on vacation. She meets Lan Shi-de there. The show was very popular. People loved Annie and George's chemistry together.

Because of their success, Annie and George Hu worked together again. They starred in the new TV series Love Around, which started in June 2013. This show was also a big hit. All 21 episodes were the most-watched in their time slot.

Recent Work (2014–Present)

In 2014, Annie focused mostly on modeling. She later returned to acting in the TVBS show Boysitter. In this drama, she played a single mother named Yuan Fei.

In 2016, Annie acted in the Taiwanese film White Lies, Black Lies. She has continued to act in many TV shows and movies since then.

In January 2022, Annie Chen and actor George Hu shared exciting news. They announced their engagement on Instagram. Annie and George had worked together on the TV shows Love, Now (2012) and Love Around (2013). They got married in the United States in July 2023.
