Early Life and Studies
Annie Liu was born in Taiwan. When she was young, her parents sent her to Vancouver, Canada. There, she went to school and studied. Before becoming an actress, Annie studied industrial design. She attended the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver.
Starting Her Acting Career
In 2004, Annie got her first big break. She was chosen to be in a TV commercial for China Airlines. This is the biggest airline in Taiwan. In 2005, she started her acting career. Her first main role was in the movie Mob Sister. Her performance was so good that she was nominated for an award. It was for Best New Performer at the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards.
After her debut, Annie moved to Hong Kong. She wanted to focus on acting there. She has starred in many movies and TV shows. While she mostly acts in films, she also takes on TV series roles. Sometimes, she even hosts variety shows. Today, Annie runs her own company. This company helps manage other actors and projects.
