Anthony Bell (born 1970), also known as Tony Bell, is an American animator, storyboard artist, film director, and screenwriter. He helps bring animated characters and stories to life!
Anthony Bell started his career working on the famous TV show The Simpsons in the early 1990s. Later, he got the chance to direct episodes for the popular Nickelodeon show Rugrats. More recently, he has directed episodes for the animated TV series The Boondocks. He also directed the animated movie Alpha and Omega and its sequel Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure.
Working on The Simpsons
Anthony Bell helped create The Simpsons in its early days. From 1990 to 1992, he worked as a character layout artist for thirteen episodes. This means he helped draw how the characters would look in each scene. Some of these episodes include "Bart's Friend Falls in Love" and "Lisa's Pony". Before that, he was a cleanup artist, making sure the drawings looked neat and ready for animation.
Directing for Nickelodeon
Anthony Bell got his first chance to direct TV shows at Nickelodeon. He directed many episodes for the beloved cartoon Rugrats. He also directed two Rugrats TV movies: Rugrats Vacation and All Growed Up.
