Anthony Corrie was born on June 22, 1984, in Darwin, Australia. He is a former professional Australian rules football player. Anthony played 56 games in the Australian Football League (AFL) during his career.

Early Days and Rising Talent
Anthony Corrie was seen as one of the most talented young players in Australia when he was under 18. In 2002, he was named an All-Australian player. He also won the Harrison Medal at the Under 18 National Championships. These achievements caught the eye of many AFL talent scouts.
Anthony has Indigenous heritage. He started playing junior football with the Nightcliff Football Club in the Northern Territory. He also played for the Northern Territory Thunder team.
Joining the AFL: Brisbane Lions
The Brisbane Lions picked Anthony in the 2002 AFL Draft. He joined them from the Southern Districts Football Club. In 2004, he made his first AFL appearance for the Brisbane Lions. This exciting debut game was against the West Coast team.
Facing Challenges and Injuries
Anthony's career had some tough moments due to injuries. In 2005, he had a jaw injury during a game against Essendon Football Club. Later, a finger injury also caused a setback.
In 2006, after playing some strong games, Anthony had a serious knee injury. He hurt his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a fall in a game against Fremantle. This injury meant he could not play for the rest of that season.
A Fresh Start
At the end of 2006, the Brisbane Lions decided not to keep Anthony on their main list. However, they chose him again in the 2006 Rookie Draft. This showed they still believed in his talent.
Moving to Collingwood
After the 2008 season, Anthony Corrie moved to the Collingwood Football Club. This happened as part of a player trade. He played three games for Collingwood over the next two seasons. At the end of the 2010 AFL season, he was delisted by Collingwood.
Life After Professional Football
Since 2014, Anthony Corrie has been a playing coach. He coaches the Kenmore Australian Football Club in the QFA South league.
Anthony also has family connections in the AFL world. He is the first cousin of Aaron Davey, who played for Melbourne FC. He is also a first cousin of Alwyn Davey, who played for Essendon FC. Their mothers are sisters.
