Anthony Melchior Frank (born May 21, 1931 – died February 2, 2022) was an important American banker. He also served as the head of the United States Postal Service, known as the United States Postmaster General, from 1988 to 1992.

Early Life and Moving to America
Anthony Frank was born in Berlin, Germany, on May 21, 1931. His father, Lothar Frank, was also a banker. When Anthony was six years old, his family moved from Germany to the United States. He later attended Hollywood High School.
Education and Learning
Anthony Frank went to Dartmouth College, where he earned a bachelor's degree. He also earned a master's degree in business, called an MBA, from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He continued his studies in finance at the University of Vienna in Austria.
Career as a Banker and Postmaster
Anthony Frank had a successful career in banking. He became the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of First Nationwide Bank in San Francisco, California.
In 1988, the Governors of the U.S. Postal Service chose Frank to be the United States Postmaster General. He started this important job on March 1, 1988. As Postmaster General, he was in charge of the entire postal system in the United States. He held this position until he resigned in 1992.
After leaving the postal service in 1992, Frank started a new financial company called Independent Bancorp of Arizona.
Anthony Frank passed away in Carmel, California, on February 2, 2022, at the age of 90.

- In 1991, he appeared in an episode of the TV show Murder, She Wrote called "The Skinny According to Nick Cullhane." He played a mailman in this episode.
- In 2010, he appeared as himself in the documentary Murder by Proxy: How America Went Postal. In this film, he was interviewed as the former U.S. Postmaster General.
