Anton Andreyevich Miranchuk (born October 17, 1995) is a professional footballer from Russia. He plays as an attacking midfielder. This means he helps his team score goals and create chances. Anton currently plays for Sion, a club in Switzerland. He also represents his home country, Russia, on their national football team.

Anton's Football Journey
Starting Young
Anton Miranchuk was born in Slavyansk-na-Kubani, Russia. He began his football career at a young age. He first joined a local football school called Olymp. Later, he moved to the well-known club Spartak Moscow. However, he left Spartak because he needed to improve his physical strength. After that, Anton and his twin brother, Aleksei, both joined Lokomotiv Moscow.
Playing for Lokomotiv Moscow
Anton made his first professional appearance for Lokomotiv Moscow on October 30, 2013. This was in a Russian Cup game. He came into the game near the end, showing his talent.
Loan to Levadia
In 2016, Anton was sent on loan to Levadia Tallinn, a club in Estonia. A loan means he played for them for a short time. He played his first game for Levadia on April 2, 2016. Later that year, he also played in the UEFA Europa League. This is a big European club competition. By the end of the 2016 season, he had scored 14 goals for Levadia.
Back at Lokomotiv Moscow
After his loan, Anton returned to Lokomotiv Moscow. He made his debut in the Russian Premier League on April 9, 2017. This is the top football league in Russia. On October 24, 2018, he scored his first goal in the UEFA Champions League. This is another very important European competition. He scored more goals in the Champions League in 2020 against strong teams like Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid. Anton left Lokomotiv in July 2024.
Moving to Switzerland
On September 8, 2024, Anton Miranchuk signed a contract with Sion. This club plays in Switzerland. He will play for them for two seasons.
Playing for Russia
Anton Miranchuk also plays for the Russia national football team. He made his first appearance for Russia on October 7, 2017. This was in a friendly game against South Korea.
In 2018, he was chosen to be part of Russia's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This is one of the biggest football tournaments in the world. Even though he was part of the squad, he did not play in any games. Russia was knocked out of the tournament by Croatia in the quarterfinals.

Anton Miranchuk has an identical twin brother named Aleksei Miranchuk. Aleksei is also a professional footballer. They have even played together on the Russia national football team.
