Aleksei Miranchuk (Russian: Алексей Андреевич Миранчук; born October 17, 1995) is a talented Russian professional footballer. He plays as an attacking midfielder or a forward. Currently, he plays for the Major League Soccer club Atlanta United and the Russia national team.

Early Life
Aleksei was born in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Russia. He has an identical twin brother named Anton, who was born about 10 minutes after him. Both brothers started playing football at a local school called Olymp in their hometown.
Later, Aleksei and Anton moved to Moscow and joined the youth teams of Spartak Moscow. However, they were told to leave because they weren't physically strong enough. But their football journey didn't end there!
Managers from Lokomotiv Moscow saw their talent and invited them to join their club. Aleksei quickly showed his skills. He helped his team win three Russian League titles in his age group. He even scored goals in the final games twice! In October 2012, he was named the most valuable player (MVP) of the Russian Football Union cup.
Club Career
Lokomotiv Moscow
Aleksei Miranchuk made his first professional appearance in the Russian Premier League when he was just 17 years old. This happened on April 20, 2013, for Lokomotiv Moscow. A few weeks later, on May 5, 2013, he scored his first goal and made his first assist in a game that Lokomotiv won 4–2.
He also played in the UEFA Europa League for the first time in August 2014. Fans of Lokomotiv Moscow voted him the best player of the month in April and May 2015.
On May 21, 2015, Aleksei scored an amazing solo goal in extra time during the Russian Cup final. This goal helped Lokomotiv win their sixth Russian Cup title. He later helped Lokomotiv win the 2017–18 Russian Premier League title, scoring seven goals that season. In July 2019, he scored two goals to help his team win the 2019 Russian Super Cup.
Playing in Italy
In August 2020, Aleksei moved to Italy to play for the club Atalanta. This was a big step in his career! He made his debut for Atalanta in the Champions League on October 21, 2020, and scored his first goal for the club in that very game.
He also scored in his first Serie A game for Atalanta in November. He continued to score in other competitions, like the Coppa Italia. Over two seasons with Atalanta, Aleksei played in 56 matches and scored nine goals.
In August 2022, Aleksei went on loan to another Italian club, Torino, for one season.
Atlanta United
On July 30, 2024, Aleksei Miranchuk joined the Major League Soccer club Atlanta United in the United States. He signed a contract to play for them until the 2028 MLS season.
Playing for Russia
Aleksei Miranchuk made his debut for the Russia national football team on June 7, 2015. It was a friendly match against Belarus. He came into the game as a substitute and scored Russia's third goal in a 4–2 victory.
He was chosen to be part of Russia's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He played in one game during the World Cup. He was also selected for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament. In Russia's second game at Euro 2020, he scored the only goal in a 1–0 win against Finland.
