Relegation Play-offs

Teams that finish near the bottom of the Premier League sometimes have to play extra games. These are called "relegation play-offs." They play against teams from the league below to decide who gets to stay in the Premier League next season.

Team #1   Agg.   Team #2   1st leg     2nd leg
Yenisey Krasnoyarsk 6–4 Anzhi Makhachkala 3–0 3–4
Amkar Perm 3–0 Tambov 2–0 1–0

After the season, Amkar Perm was no longer a team. Because of this, Anzhi Makhachkala was allowed to stay in the Premier League. Also, Yenisey Krasnoyarsk was promoted to the Premier League for the very first time!
