He became the youngest player to score for Dynamo in the Russian Premier League. He was just 17 years and 199 days old. In his second game as a starter, he scored the winning goal against FC Lokomotiv Moscow. This helped Dynamo win 1–0.

In July 2009, he scored another winning goal. This was against Celtic in a UEFA Champions League qualifying match. At the end of the 2012–13 season, he was named one of the top three best left strikers.

Moving to Zenit Saint Petersburg

On January 30, 2016, Kokorin moved to FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. He scored his first goal for Zenit on April 9, 2016, in a game against FC Amkar Perm. After some time away, he signed a new contract with Zenit in September 2019. This contract lasted until the end of the 2019–20 season.

Loan to Sochi

Playing for Spartak Moscow

On August 2, 2020, Kokorin signed a three-year contract with Spartak Moscow. He joined them after his contract with Zenit St. Petersburg ended.

Time at Fiorentina
