Antonio Tomás González (born on January 19, 1985) is a Spanish former professional footballer. He played as a defensive midfielder. This means his main job was to protect his team's goal. He would stop the other team's attacks and help start his own team's plays.

Antonio Tomás's Football Journey
Starting Out at Racing Santander
Antonio Tomás was born in a place called Torrelavega, in Cantabria, Spain. He started playing football when he was young. He joined the youth team of a big local club, Racing de Santander. This is where he learned many of his football skills.
He made his first big league appearance on October 30, 2005. This was in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league. He played for Racing Santander against Valencia CF. He played 23 games in that season.
Moving to Deportivo and Back
In 2006, Antonio Tomás joined Deportivo de La Coruña, another Spanish club. But right away, he was "loaned" back to Racing Santander for a year. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team.
He returned to Deportivo for the 2007-2008 season. He played some games, helping his team finish ninth in the league. From 2009 to 2011, he played much more often for Deportivo. However, in his second season, the team was "relegated." This means they moved down to a lower league. After this, Antonio Tomás left the club.
New Adventures in Spain and Bulgaria
On September 27, 2011, Antonio Tomás signed a one-year contract with Real Zaragoza. This is another team in Spain. He played a few games for them.
Then, in February 2012, he moved to a new country! He joined PFC CSKA Sofia, a football club in Bulgaria. He played for them for about 16 months.
Returning to Spain and Greece
Antonio Tomás came back to Spain for the 2012-2013 season. He spent four seasons playing for CD Numancia in the Segunda División. This is Spain's second-highest football league.
On July 17, 2016, he moved to Greece. He signed a one-year deal with Veria F.C., a team in the Super League Greece.
Back to Where It Started
In the summer of 2017, Antonio Tomás returned to his first big club, Racing Santander. At this time, Racing was playing in the Segunda División B, which is a lower league. He finished his professional career playing for the club where he started.
