About Anwarmiya Kaji
Anwarmiya Kaji was born in 1843 in a town called Visnagar. His family had a long history, originally from Arabia. They moved to Patan in India and served as Kaji, which means a local judge or leader. Later, they were given land in Visnagar for their important work, so they settled there.
From a young age, Anwarmiya was very interested in spiritual matters and understanding life's deeper meanings. When he was just 12 years old, he met a respected spiritual teacher named Premmast Saiyyd Saheb. This meeting had a big impact on Anwarmiya, and he was deeply inspired by him.
Anwarmiya first preferred to live in quiet, lonely places. However, his family and followers encouraged him to move to an old mosque in Kajiwada, a part of Visnagar. In 1881, he traveled to the holy cities of Mecca and Madina. Later, he became ill and moved to Palanpur, where he passed away on 22 October 1916. A special building, called a mausoleum, was built over his resting place. Every year, a gathering called Urs is held there to honor him.

Anwarmiya Kaji was very knowledgeable. He understood many different ways of thinking in Hindu philosophy and also practiced Yoga. His most famous work is called Anwarkavya. This book contains many spiritual poems that talk about Bhakti. Bhakti is a way of showing deep love and devotion to God.
Anwarmiya wrote his poems in both Gujarati and Urdu languages. His poetry often connected the idea of Bhakti with Sufism. Sufism is a mystical branch of Islam that focuses on finding God through personal experience and devotion. He also wrote special songs, called devotional hymns, praising Hindu deities like Rama and Krishna.
