April Rose Pengilly (pronounced pen-GILL-ee; born on April 12, 1988) is an Australian actress and model. She is also known by her stage name, April Rose.

Early Life and Family

April Rose Pengilly grew up in Sydney, Australia. Her father is Kirk Pengilly, a member of the famous band INXS. Her mother is designer Karen Hutchinson. April went to Wenona School, which is a girls' school in Sydney. She started modeling when she was in her last year of high school. She chose to use the name April Rose to have her own identity separate from her father's fame. Her stepmother is the world champion surfer Layne Beachley.

Modelling Career

April Rose Pengilly began her modeling career at a young age. She signed with Chadwick Models in Sydney when she was 16. After finishing high school, she joined Wilhelmina Models in New York. In 2006, she became a youth ambassador for the David Jones Summer collection, working alongside model Megan Gale.

Pengilly has walked the runway for many top designers at Australian Fashion Week. She has also lived and worked as a model in big cities like New York, London, Tokyo, and Osaka. Acting Roles

April Rose Pengilly started taking acting classes in her free time. She studied at places like the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). In 2011, she was cast in an independent film called LBF. This movie was based on a novel by Cry Bloxsome. It premiered at the South by Southwest festival.

In 2013, Pengilly starred in a short film called Object, which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. The next year, she competed on the TV show Dancing with the Stars. She danced with Aric Yegudkin and supported Dementia Australia.

She was in a relationship with drummer Tim Commandeur for three years, ending in 2014. She later dated musician Alex Laska from the band Kingswood.

On December 9, 2023, April Rose Pengilly announced that she was engaged to her partner, Adam Paul. They had been together since early 2022.
