Arén is a small town, also known as Areny de Noguera in Catalan or Arén de Noguera in Aragonese. It is a municipality located in the province of Huesca. This area is part of Aragon, a region in Spain. In 2018, a census (a count of people) showed that about 318 people lived there.

Villages from Former Municipalities
Other villages joined Arén over time:
- In 1965, the Cornudella de Baliera municipality merged with Arén. Its villages include: Rivera de Vall, San Martín, El Sas, Casa Consistorial, Puimolar, L'Hostalet, Vilaplana, Soperún, Iscles, Suerri, and Tresserra.
- In 1966, the Betesa municipality also merged. Its villages are: Betesa, Santa Eulalia, Los Molinos, and Obís.
