Arahal is a town in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. It is located in the southeast part of Seville. A municipality is like a local government area, similar to a city or town.
This town was known as "El Arahal" until 1981. The name Ar-rahal comes from an Arabic word. It means "a place where you stop to rest during a journey."

Exploring Arahal's Historic Buildings
Arahal has many old and interesting buildings. Most of these are churches. They show the history and culture of the town.
- Nta.Sra. de la Victoria church: This church was finished in 1551. Its tall tower was added later, in the late 1600s.
- Vera-Cruz church: This church was built in 1602.
- Casa Peralta: This historic house dates back to 1895.
- Nta.Sra. del Rosario convent: This convent was built in 1608.
- San Roque church (formerly a convent): This building became a church in 1624.
- Santo Cristo de la Misericordia church: This church was built in the 1500s.
- Santa María Magdalena parish-church: This is one of the largest churches in the province. It was built in a style called Neoclassical. The original church was destroyed by a big earthquake in 1755. The new one was finished in 1800. Only the tower from the old church remained. Mary Magdalene is the special patron saint of Arahal.
- San Antonio hermitage: This small chapel was built in the 1600s.
Understanding Arahal's Climate
Arahal has a Mediterranean climate. This type of climate is known for its changing rainfall. Summers are usually very dry and extremely hot. Winters are mild and often rainy.
One of the highest temperatures ever recorded in Arahal was on July 23, 1995. The temperature reached 49 °C (120 °F) in the shade! This information comes from official records. Arahal has a weather station at Moron Air Base. This station has been collecting weather data since 1951.

Arahal has good transport connections. You can travel to and from the town easily.
- Train station: Arahal has a train station. From here, you can take trains to nearby cities. These include Sevilla, Dos Hermanas, Marchena, and Malaga. These train services are run by Renfe.
- Bus connections: There are also bus services available. You can take a bus directly to Malaga Airport.
