The Arapya Glacier (which is lednik Arapya in Bulgarian) is a large river of ice found in Antarctica. It is about 11.4 kilometers (7.1 miles) long and 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) wide. This impressive glacier is located in the eastern part of the north-central Sentinel Range, which is a mountain chain within the Ellsworth Mountains.
What is Arapya Glacier?
Arapya Glacier is a huge, slow-moving mass of ice. It is situated south of another glacier called Young Glacier. This glacier flows towards the south, moving along the western side of a place known as Barnes Ridge. It also moves east of Chapman Peak, which is a mountain. Eventually, Arapya Glacier joins up with the Ellen Glacier southwest of Mount Besch.
