Where is Archer Key?
Archer Key is found among the "Outlying Islands" of the Florida Keys. These islands are located in the Gulf of Mexico.
Part of the Mule Keys
Archer Key is specifically in the eastern part of a group called the Mule Keys. These keys are about 9 miles (or 15 kilometers) west of Key West. Key West is a well-known city at the very end of the Florida Keys.
What Does Archer Key Look Like?
Archer Key is actually made up of two separate, smaller islands.
Water Around the Island
Around Archer Key, there are a few places where boats can anchor:
- Angeline Anchorage: This spot is to the north. The water here is about 7.5 feet (or 2 meters) deep when the tide is high.
- Anchorage Mary: You can find this anchorage to the west of the island.
- Anchorage Jenny V: This area is to the east. The water here is quite shallow.
