Ariajasuru Hasegawa (Japanese: 長谷川 アーリアジャスール, romanizedHasegawa Āriajasūru; Persian: آریا جسور; born October 29, 1988) is a Japanese professional footballer. He plays as an attacking midfielder. This means he often helps his team score goals and create chances.

Football Career of Ariajasuru Hasegawa

Starting Out in Youth Football

Ariajasuru Hasegawa was born in Tsurugashima, Saitama, Japan. He started playing football at a young age. In 2004, when he was 16, he joined the youth team of Yokohama F. Marinos. Before that, he played for Sakado Diplomats.

Joining Yokohama F. Marinos

In November 2006, Hasegawa moved up to the main team of Yokohama F. Marinos. He made his first professional game on March 3, 2007. His team won 1–0 against Ventforet Kofu. However, he had some injuries that year.

On June 6, 2008, Hasegawa signed a professional contract with Marinos. He scored his first goal for the senior team on November 29. It was the final goal in a 2–0 win against Tokyo Verdy. In the 2010 season, he sometimes played as a forward. But he was mostly a substitute player.

Moving to FC Tokyo and Cerezo Osaka

On January 6, 2012, Hasegawa joined another team in the same league, FC Tokyo. His coach, Ranko Popović, often used him as a defensive midfielder. He scored five goals in 2013. On December 29, 2013, he signed a new contract with the club.

On January 16, 2014, Hasegawa moved to Cerezo Osaka. Here, he played again for his former coach, Popović. He played in 30 games during his first season and scored one goal.

Playing Abroad in Spain

On July 2, 2015, Hasegawa decided to play football outside Japan for the first time. He signed a one-year deal with Real Zaragoza in Spain. This was the third time he worked with coach Popović.

Returning to Japan

After his time in Spain, Hasegawa came back to Japan. On March 29, 2016, he joined Shonan Bellmare. Later, on December 29, 2017, he signed with Nagoya Grampus. He has continued his career playing for other Japanese clubs like Machida Zelvia and Gainare Tottori.

International Football Career

Playing for Japan's Youth Team

Ariajasuru Hasegawa played for the Japan under-20 team from 2006 to 2010. He played three games and scored one goal for this team.

Call-up to the Senior National Team

In December 2012, he was called up to the main Japan national team. The coach, Alberto Zaccheroni, wanted him for a friendly game against Azerbaijan. Japan won 2–0, but Hasegawa did not play in that match.

His Background

Hasegawa's mother is Japanese, and his father is Iranian. This means he could play for either Japan or Iran. However, Japan does not allow people to be citizens of two countries at the same time.
