Ariel Kaplan's Early Life

Ariel Erin Kaplan was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on May 4, 1994. She comes from a Jewish family where many people are performers. Her dad is a musician, and her grandfather was an actor. Her grandmother was a professional ballet dancer.

Ariel has two older sisters, Gemma-Ashley Kaplan and Dena Kaplan. Both of her sisters are also actresses. Dena Kaplan is famous for her role as Abigail Armstrong in the show Dance Academy.

Besides acting, Ariel also trained a lot in dancing and singing. She learned many dance styles. These included jazz, contemporary, ballet, and tap. She studied at the Jane Moore Academy of Ballet in Melbourne, Australia. She went there from 1998 until 2011. Ariel was taught at home through distance education.
