Ariel Kaplan (born 4 May 1994) is an actress, singer, and dancer. She was born in South Africa and later moved to Australia. Ariel is well-known for playing Lisa Atwood in the children's TV show The Saddle Club. She also played Imogen Willis in the Australian soap opera Neighbours.

Ariel Kaplan's Early Life
Ariel Erin Kaplan was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on May 4, 1994. She comes from a Jewish family where many people are performers. Her dad is a musician, and her grandfather was an actor. Her grandmother was a professional ballet dancer.
Ariel has two older sisters, Gemma-Ashley Kaplan and Dena Kaplan. Both of her sisters are also actresses. Dena Kaplan is famous for her role as Abigail Armstrong in the show Dance Academy.
Besides acting, Ariel also trained a lot in dancing and singing. She learned many dance styles. These included jazz, contemporary, ballet, and tap. She studied at the Jane Moore Academy of Ballet in Melbourne, Australia. She went there from 1998 until 2011. Ariel was taught at home through distance education. This means she learned from teachers who were not in the same room.
Ariel Kaplan's Acting Career
When Ariel was a child, she acted in several plays in Australia. Some of these plays were Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Sound of Music. She also appeared in Annie and Les Miserables. In 2002 and 2003, she played Florence in the musical Oliver!. She performed this show in Melbourne and Singapore.
Between 2003 and 2004, Ariel had small roles in TV comedy shows. These included Skithouse and The Hamish & Andy Show. She also appeared in a short film called The Mischief Maker. In 2005 and 2006, she played Young Nala in the musical The Lion King. She performed this role in Melbourne and Shanghai.
First Big TV Roles
Ariel's first major TV role came in 2007. She took over the part of Lisa Atwood for the third season of The Saddle Club. This show is about a group of friends who love horses. The third season was filmed from late 2007 to mid-2008. It first aired in March 2009. Ariel also recorded several songs for the show's album, Best Friends.
From 2009 to 2012, Ariel appeared as a guest in other TV shows. These included John Safran's Race Relations and Tangle. She also acted in a play called Grey Gardens. In this play, she played Jacqueline Bouvier.
Joining Neighbours
In February 2013, it was announced that Ariel Kaplan would join the TV show Neighbours. This is a very long-running Australian soap opera. She got the role of Imogen Willis after a quick audition. She had one audition and then a screen test with other actors. These actors included Harley Bonner, Rebekah Elmaloglou, and Kip Gamblin.
Ariel first appeared as Imogen on May 20, 2013. She left her role as Imogen on April 26, 2016. She wanted to work on other projects. However, Ariel came back to play Imogen again on March 22, 2019, for a short time. She also returned for the show's reboot in 2023.
