Armani Lee Rogers, born on December 4, 1997, is an American professional football player. He plays as a tight end for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL). Before becoming a tight end, Armani played college football as a quarterback for the UNLV Rebels and Ohio Bobcats. He even set a record for the longest run by a college quarterback, running 99 yards! After college, he joined the Washington Commanders in 2022.

Growing Up and High School Years
Armani Rogers was born in Buffalo, New York. His dad, Sam Rogers, was also an NFL player. Armani grew up in Los Angeles with his four brothers and one sister. He went to Alexander Hamilton High School. During his senior year, he showed off his skills. He passed for 1,433 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. He also ran for 431 yards and six touchdowns.
Armani was a highly sought-after player. He first planned to play college football at California. But he changed his mind after coaching staff changes. He then decided to play for UNLV.
College Football Journey
Armani Rogers played college football for two different teams. He started as a quarterback.
Playing for UNLV Rebels
Armani began his college career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He didn't play in his first year, which is called a redshirt year. In his second year (redshirt freshman season), he started nine games. He was named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year. He threw for 1,471 yards and six touchdowns. He also set a school record for rushing yards by a quarterback. He ran for 780 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
In his third year, he got a foot injury. He missed several games but still played well. He finished that season with 601 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also ran for 565 yards and eight touchdowns. In his fourth year, he played four games before getting another injury.
Playing for Ohio Bobcats
After UNLV, Armani transferred to Ohio as a graduate student. In 2020, he was mostly used in special offensive plays. He threw for 48 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, college athletes got an extra year of eligibility. Armani used this to play a second season for Ohio. He started two games as quarterback. He also played in other offensive roles. He finished the season with 334 passing yards. He also ran for 552 yards and seven touchdowns. One of his runs was an amazing 99-yard touchdown! This set a new NCAA record for a quarterback.

Professional Football Career
Before joining the NFL, Armani Rogers changed his position. He switched from quarterback to tight end. He played in the 2022 East–West Shrine Bowl as a tight end.

Time with the Washington Commanders
Armani signed with the Washington Commanders on May 2, 2022. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't picked in the NFL Draft. On November 19, he was placed on injured reserve. He was activated from injured reserve on January 7, 2023.
On May 24, 2023, Armani had a serious injury. He tore his Achilles tendon during practice. He was placed on injured reserve again on July 25, 2023. The Commanders released him on August 6, 2024.
Playing for Other Teams
- Philadelphia Eagles: On August 7, 2024, the Philadelphia Eagles picked him up. However, he was waived by them on August 27.
- Atlanta Falcons: On October 7, 2024, Armani signed with the Atlanta Falcons practice squad.
- Buffalo Bills: On January 17, 2025, Armani Rogers signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills. This was a reserve/future contract.
