Early Life and High School Football
Amari Rodgers grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. He went to Knoxville Catholic High School. During his senior year, he caught 40 passes. These catches gained him 1,238 yards and 18 touchdowns. Over his entire high school career, he had 3,498 receiving yards. He also scored 47 total touchdowns.
Experts rated Amari as a top wide receiver recruit. He first planned to play for the University of Southern California. However, he decided to join Clemson University instead. Clemson offered him a spot late in the season.

Freshman and Sophomore Years
In 2017, as a freshman, Amari had 19 catches. He gained 123 yards for his team. In 2018, during his sophomore year, he improved a lot. He caught 55 passes for 575 yards. He also scored 4 touchdowns. That year, he even returned a punt for another touchdown.
Junior and Senior Seasons
Amari missed the first game of his junior season in 2019. This was because of a knee injury he got in the spring. He still finished the season with 30 catches. He gained 426 yards and scored 4 touchdowns. After this season, he chose to stay at Clemson for his senior year. He did not enter the NFL draft yet. In his senior year, Amari had an amazing season. The Green Bay Packers picked Amari Rodgers in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was the 85th player chosen overall. He signed a four-year contract with the team. Amari played his first NFL game on September 12, 2021. He caught one pass for 19 yards in that game. During his first season, he returned many punts and kickoffs.
In his second season, Amari had some challenges. He fumbled the ball several times while returning punts. Because of this, the Packers decided to release him. This meant he was no longer on their team.
Playing for the Houston Texans
After leaving the Packers, the Houston Texans picked up Amari Rodgers. This happened on November 16, 2022. On December 11, he scored his first NFL touchdown. It was a 28-yard catch. He finished the 2022 season with 16 catches. He gained 204 receiving yards and scored one touchdown. The Texans later waived him on July 30, 2023.
Short Stint with the Indianapolis Colts

Amari Rodgers is the son of football coach Tee Martin. He is good friends with Randall Cobb. Randall was a teammate of Amari's on the Packers. They met when Randall played for Amari's father at the University of Kentucky.
