The Lunéville district is located in the southeast part of the Meurthe-et-Moselle department. It shares borders with other areas.
To the north and east, it borders the Moselle department. To the southeast, it has a small border with the Bas-Rhin department. The Vosges department is to its south. Finally, to the west, it borders the arrondissement of Nancy.
