Arthur Frank Warren (born March 23, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher. He currently plays for the Gastonia Ghost Peppers in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Art Warren also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds.

Art Warren's Baseball Journey

Starting Out: High School and College

Art Warren grew up in Napoleon, Ohio. He went to Napoleon High School and was a talented baseball player. After high school, he continued playing college baseball. He played for both the University of Cincinnati and Ashland University.

His skills on the mound caught the eye of professional teams. In 2015, the Seattle Mariners picked him in the 23rd round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft. This was his first step into professional baseball!

Playing for the Seattle Mariners

After being drafted, Art Warren started his professional career. He first played for the Arizona League Mariners. He pitched well, showing off his ability to strike out batters. In 2016, he moved up to play for the Clinton LumberKings. Later that season, he was promoted again to the Bakersfield Blaze. Between these two teams, he had a great record of 11 wins and only 2 losses.

In 2017, he continued to play for Bakersfield. He kept a good record and a low earned run average (ERA). An ERA shows how many runs a pitcher allows per game. A lower ERA is better! He also played in the Arizona Fall League after that season.

In 2018, injuries limited his playing time. He pitched for the Arkansas Travelers but only for a short period. He returned to the Arkansas Travelers in 2019 and continued to pitch very well.

Making it to Major League Baseball

All his hard work paid off! On September 10, 2019, the Mariners called Art Warren up to the major leagues. He made his big league debut just two days later, on September 12. He pitched against the Cincinnati Reds and didn't allow any runs. This was a huge moment in his career!

After the 2020 season, Art Warren moved to the Texas Rangers. However, he was soon traded to another team.

Time with the Cincinnati Reds

On January 6, 2021, Art Warren joined the Cincinnati Reds. He pitched very well for them. In 26 games, he had a very low ERA of 1.29. This means he was very good at preventing runs! He also struck out 34 batters in 21 innings. Unfortunately, he had an oblique injury in August 2021, which put him on the injured list.

In 2022, Art Warren was part of a memorable game. On May 15, he pitched in a game where his teammate, Hunter Greene, threw a no-hitter for most of the game. Art Warren came in to pitch and didn't allow any hits either. However, the other team scored a run, and the Reds lost the game. Later in 2022, Art Warren had surgery on his throwing elbow. This type of surgery helps pitchers recover from common baseball injuries.

Other Teams and Now

After his time with the Reds, Art Warren signed a contract with the New York Yankees in December 2022. He returned to playing in 2024, pitching for their minor league teams, the Tampa Tarpons and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. He continued to work hard on his pitching.

In May 2025, Art Warren signed with the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos in the Mexican League. He pitched in 16 games for them before moving on.

Currently, as of July 2025, Art Warren plays for the Gastonia Ghost Peppers. He joined the team on July 3, 2025, and continues his professional baseball career in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
