Arteixo is a town and municipality in northwestern Spain. It's located in the province of A Coruña. This area is part of the autonomous community of Galicia.
Arteixo covers an area of about 93.76 square kilometers. In 2013, around 31,005 people lived there. This means it's a busy place, with many people living close together. It's also an industrial town, meaning it has many factories and businesses. Arteixo is part of the larger A Coruña city area.

What Makes Arteixo Special?
Arteixo is known for some important businesses. It's home to the main office of Inditex. This company owns many famous clothing stores around the world, like Zara. So, if you wear clothes from Zara, they might have started their journey in Arteixo!
There's also a large Repsol refinery here. A refinery is a huge factory that turns crude oil into useful products. These products include gasoline for cars and other fuels.
Natural Resources
Arteixo also has natural resources hidden underground. People mine for metals like tungsten, titanium, and tin here. These metals are used in many different products, from electronics to airplanes.

The number of people living in Arteixo has changed a lot over the years. In 1877, there were about 8,208 people. By 2010, the population had grown to 30,630. This shows that Arteixo has become a much bigger and more important place over time.

Nature and Rivers
Two rivers flow through Arteixo: the Seixedo and the Arteixo rivers. These rivers help drain the land. They are an important part of the local natural environment.
Future Projects
A big project is happening in Arteixo. The Outer Harbour of A Coruña is being built here. It's located on the Punta Langosteira Peninsula. This new harbor will replace the old, busy one in the city center. It will help ships move goods more easily. The construction was planned to finish around 2020.
