Arthur Sissis was born on June 15, 1995. He is an Australian motorcycle and speedway rider. He used to be a Grand Prix motorcycle racer.
Arthur last raced for Mahindra Racing in the Moto3 World Championship. He was later replaced by another rider during that season. Today, he races in the Australian Superbike Championship. He rides a Yamaha YZF-R1 2021 motorcycle.

Arthur Sissis's Racing Journey
Early Days in Speedway
Arthur Sissis was born in Adelaide, South Australia. He grew up in a small town called Virginia. This town is about 40 kilometers north of Adelaide.
Arthur started racing junior motocross when he was young. At just 9 years old, he joined the Sidewinders Under 16 Speedway Club. This club is in the northern suburbs of Adelaide.
He became a champion in junior speedway. Arthur won the Australian Under-16 Individual Speedway Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2011. In 2010, he finished second in the championship.
Red Bull MotoGP Rookie Cup Adventures
After his success in speedway, Arthur wanted to race in Grand Prix motorcycle racing. He joined the Red Bull MotoGP Rookie Cup in 2010. His best finish was 6th place in a race at Assen. He ended up 13th in the championship that year.
He raced in the championship again in 2011. This was a very successful year for him. Arthur won three races: one at Jerez, one at Assen, and one at Mugello. He finished 2nd overall in the championship. He was only 9 points behind the winner, Lorenzo Baldassarri from Italy.
In 2011, Arthur also got his first chance to race in a Grand Prix event. He rode an Aprilia 125cc bike at the Malaysian Grand Prix. He started in 30th place and finished the race in 20th position.
Moto3 World Championship Racing
In 2012, Arthur Sissis joined the Red Bull KTM Ajo team. He competed in the Moto3 World Championship. This new championship replaced the 125cc World Championship.
In his first Moto3 race in Qatar, Arthur started in 9th place. He had a great start and was in 2nd place on the first lap. He eventually finished the race in 7th position.
The most exciting moment in Arthur's Grand Prix career happened on October 28, 2012. He finished third at his home Grand Prix. This race was held at the Phillip Island in Australia. He was very close to the fourth-place rider, finishing just 0.054 seconds ahead. This third-place finish was his only podium in Grand Prix racing.
Arthur continued to race in Moto3 in 2013 and 2014. In 2014, he rode for Mahindra Racing before leaving the championship mid-season.
Back to Speedway Racing
In December 2014, Arthur Sissis decided to return to speedway racing. He signed to ride for the Sheffield Tigers team in the British Premier League for 2015.
When he returned to speedway, Arthur competed in the South Australian Individual Speedway Championship. This event took place at the Gillman Speedway in Adelaide on December 28, 2014. He finished in 10th place.
In May 2016, he rejoined the Sheffield Tigers team again.
