Arthur Gregory Slade (born July 9, 1967) is a Canadian author. He grew up on a ranch in the Cypress Hills area of Saskatchewan and started writing stories when he was in high school.

Arthur Slade went to the University of Saskatchewan and earned a degree in English in 1989. His very first short story was published that same year. Before becoming a full-time writer, he worked for a few months as a night auditor at a hotel and then as a copywriter for a radio station in Saskatoon for several years.

He became a full-time author after his first novel for young readers, Draugr, was published. Since then, he has written many popular books like Dust and Tribes. His novel Dust won the important Governor General's Award for Children's Literature in 2001. Later, in 2010, his book The Hunchback Assignments received the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award.
