Ashley Blaine Featherson-Jenkins (born December 4, 1987) is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in TV shows and movies. You might know her best from the Netflix series Dear White People. She also helped create and starred in the web series Hello Cupid.

Early Life and Education
Ashley Blaine Featherson grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She started acting very young, at just four years old. Her first role was in a school play. She loved performing right from the start.
When she was 14, Ashley began performing at the Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C. There, she learned a lot from costume designer Reggie Ray. Later, she went to Howard University. She studied musical theater in the Fine Arts department. Ashley is also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She has said that she really looks up to the actress Vanessa Williams.
Ashley's Acting Career
Starting with Web Series
In 2012, Ashley helped create a web series called Hello Cupid. She worked on this project with Lena Waithe. Ashley also starred in the series alongside Hayley Marie Norman. She later appeared in another web series called Roomieloverfriends.
Big Roles in TV and Movies
Ashley's first movie role was in Dear White People in 2014. This film was directed by Justin Simien. She played a character named Joelle. Later, she played Joelle again in the TV show version. This show was a Netflix series that ran from 2017 to 2021.
In 2018, Ashley co-starred in a web series called Leimert Park. This show was shown at the famous Sundance Film Festival. She also took part in a special photo. It was a new version of the famous "A Great Day in Harlem" picture. Netflix's Strong Black Lead group organized it.

Ashley Featherson got engaged to sports agent Darroll Jenkins in September 2020. They had been friends for a long time. They started dating in 2018. The couple got married on September 5, 2021. Their wedding took place at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California.
