Ali Ata Demirer (born 6 July 1972) is a very popular Turkish filmmaker, comedian, actor, and musician. He is famous for his funny live comedy shows, like "Korsan TV". He also wrote and starred in many successful Turkish movies. Some of his well-known films include Eyyvah Eyvah and Berlin Kaplanı. People especially love his ability to imitate different voices and accents. His comedy style is like an old Turkish storyteller, called a Meddah.

Early Life and School
Ata Demirer's family has roots from different places. His mother's family is from a group called Meskherian Turks. His father's family is from Albania. From a young age, Ata showed a great talent for singing and music. He went to high school in Bursa and finished with high honors.
How He Became Famous
After school, Ata started working as a pianist in a nightclub. In 1991, he moved to Istanbul to study music at Istanbul Technical University. While studying, he began doing stand-up comedy in bars. He even sang on a song with a comedy group called Vitamin Group.
His first professional acting job was in a play called Funny Money in 1995. Around the same time, he also started his own music group.
In 1998, Ata Demirer became very popular with his stand-up show called Tek Kişilik Dev Kadro. In this show, he mostly did funny impressions of famous Turkish people. This show was so successful that it was turned into a TV show called Korsan TV in 2001. Ata wrote, produced, and hosted this show.
He then joined the cast of a TV show called Tatlı Hayat (2001–04). This show was the Turkish version of an American TV show. Ata also started his movie career in films like Where's Firuze? and Vizontele Tuuba in 2004.
His biggest success on TV was playing the character Volkan in the popular show Avrupa Yakası from 2004 to 2006. This role also led to his first main part in a movie, Kısık Ateşte 15 Dakika (2006). During this time, he also released music albums.
In 2007, Ata Demirer started a stand-up tour called Ata Demirer Show. He performed this show all over Turkey and in other countries like the Netherlands, Germany, and France. After his tour, he played the main role of Sultan Osman VII in the hit comedy movie The Ottoman Republic (2008). This movie was one of the most successful Turkish films that year. He also returned to Avrupa Yakası for its last two seasons.
After the TV series ended, he wrote and starred in the movies Eyyvah Eyvah (2010) and Eyyvah Eyvah 2 (2011). These movies were the highest-earning Turkish films in their years. His movie Berlin Kaplanı (2012) also became very popular right away.
