Ata Demirer (born on July 6, 1972) is a famous Turkish actor, comedian, filmmaker, and musician. He is well-known for his funny live comedy shows like "Korsan TV." He also wrote and starred in many popular Turkish movies, including Eyyvah Eyvah and Berlin Kaplanı. Ata Demirer is especially good at doing different voices and accents. His comedy style is often compared to a traditional Turkish storyteller called a Meddah.

Ata Demirer's Life Story
Ata Demirer showed a talent for singing and music from a young age. He went to high school in Bursa, Turkey. After finishing school, he worked as a pianist in a nightclub.
In 1991, he moved to Istanbul to study music at Istanbul Technical University. While studying, he started performing stand-up comedy in bars. He became friends with Gökhan Semiz from the Vitamin Group. Ata Demirer even sang on their song Turkish Cowboys.
His first professional acting role was in a play called Funny Money in 1995. Around the same time, he also started his own music group, Ege Kumpanya. He continued to perform his stand-up comedy shows.
Comedy and TV Success
In 1998, Ata Demirer started his popular stand-up show called Tek Kişilik Dev Kadro. In this show, he often did funny impressions of famous Turkish people. He performed this show over 1000 times!
This show then became a TV series called Korsan TV in 2001. Ata Demirer wrote, produced, and hosted this show. Later, he joined the cast of the TV show Tatlı Hayat (2001–2004). This show was the Turkish version of an American TV show called The Jeffersons.
Moving to Movies
Ata Demirer started his movie career in 2004. He acted in films like Where's Firuze? and Vizontele Tuuba. His biggest success on TV came with the popular show Avrupa Yakası. He played the character Volkan from 2004 to 2006, and again from 2008 to 2009.
This TV success led to his first main role in a movie. He played Güngör in the film Kısık Ateşte 15 Dakika (2006). During this time, he also released a music album called Makara (2005).
Tours and Blockbusters
In 2007, Ata Demirer started a stand-up tour called Ata Demirer Show. He performed this show all over Turkey and in countries like the Netherlands, Germany, and France.
After his tour, he played the main role of Sultan Osman VII in the comedy movie The Ottoman Republic (2008). This movie was one of the highest-earning Turkish films of that year.
He then wrote and starred in the very successful movies Eyyvah Eyvah (2010) and Eyyvah Eyvah 2 (2011). These films were the highest-earning Turkish movies in their release years. His movie Berlin Kaplanı (2012) also became a number one hit at the Turkish box office.
