Atlee Anthony Mahorn (born 27 October 1965) is a famous Canadian sprinter. He is known for running very fast in short races like the 100, 200, and 400 metres. Atlee has competed in the Olympic Games three times for Canada. He also took part in the World Championships in Athletics four times.
Atlee won a bronze medal in the 200 metres race at the World Championships held in Tokyo. He also earned another bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metre relay race at the World Championships in Stuttgart. One of his biggest wins was a gold medal in the 200 metres at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.
His fastest time in the 200 metres was 20.17 seconds. He set this record at the 1991 World Championships. This was a Canadian record for many years. It was only broken in 2014 by another runner, Aaron Brown.
Atlee Mahorn was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. He later moved to Canada. He studied at the University of California, Berkeley. There, he set school records for the 100 and 200 metres races. He also has one of the best times for the 400 metres. Atlee even earned a special degree called an MBA in International Business. He can speak French very well and can also talk in Spanish and Italian.
