Early Life and College Career

Aubrey Smith grew up in Jamaica. He later moved to the United States for his education. He attended Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida. While at FIU, Aubrey was a star athlete.

Setting Records at FIU

In 2014, Aubrey competed in the Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He won a silver medal in the long jump event. During this competition, he set a new school record for FIU. His amazing first jump was 7.80 meters (about 25 feet and 7 inches). This jump showed his great potential in the sport.
