Audley Kendrick Tuten (born January 14, 1915 – died May 7, 1994) was an American professional ice hockey player. He played as a defenceman, which is a player who helps protect the team's goal. Audley Tuten played 39 games in the top league, the NHL, for the Chicago Black Hawks.
Audley Tuten's Hockey Journey
Audley Tuten started his hockey career in 1934. Before joining the NHL, he played for several teams in different leagues.
Early Career
He played for the Hershey B'ars/Bears in the EHL for four seasons. He also spent one season with the Baltimore Orioles, also in the EHL. After that, he played for the Kansas City Greyhounds and the Kansas City Americans in the AHA.
NHL Experience
Audley Tuten first joined the Chicago Black Hawks in the NHL and played 5 games. He then returned to the Kansas City Americans for a short time. Later, he rejoined the Black Hawks and played 34 more games with them. This brought his total NHL games to 39.
Later Career
After his time with the Black Hawks, Tuten continued to play in other leagues. He played a few games for the Minneapolis Millers and the Fort Worth Rangers in the USHL. He also played for the Kansas City Pla-Mors in the USHL. He finished his playing career with the Los Angeles-S.D. team in the PCHL.
Audley Tuten passed away on May 7, 1994.
