Aude Bono-Vandorme (born August 3, 1962) is a French scientist and politician. She was a member of the French National Assembly from 2017 to 2022. She represented the department of Aisne as part of the La République En Marche! (LREM) political party.

Her Early Life and Education
Aude Bono-Vandorme was born in Soissons, France, on August 3, 1962. She went to an engineering school called École Polytechnique Féminine in Sceaux, Hauts-de-Seine. There, she earned a special degree (a doctorate) in fluid mechanics. This is the study of how liquids and gases move.
Her Career as a Teacher
After her studies, Bono-Vandorme became a teacher at the École Polytechnique Féminine. She taught about fluid analysis and mechanics. She also lectured at other important schools. These included the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers and the École Centrale Paris.
Her Political Journey
Starting in Local Politics
Aude Bono-Vandorme began her political career in local government. In March 2008, she was elected to the municipal council in Laon. She later became a deputy mayor in the city.
In 2012, she ran for a seat in the French National Assembly. She did not win that election. In 2013, she became the head of a local political group called the Union of Democrats and Independents in Aisne.
In March 2014, she was re-elected to the municipal council in Laon. She became the main assistant mayor. However, she left this role later that year after a disagreement.
Becoming a Member of Parliament
In 2017, Bono-Vandorme decided to run for the National Assembly again. She first sought support from the Union of Democrats and Independents. But she later joined forces with Emmanuel Macron's political movement, La République En Marche!.
She received support from the previous member of parliament, René Dosière. In the election, she won the first round of voting. Then, in the second round, she was elected to the French National Assembly. She won with 56.22% of the votes.
Her Work in the National Assembly
As a member of the National Assembly, Bono-Vandorme worked on important committees. She was part of the Committee on European Affairs. She also served on the Committee on National Defense of the Armed Forces. She was part of the French group that went to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
In the 2022 election, she ran again but did not win. She lost her seat to Nicolas Dragon.
Her Political Views
In July 2019, Aude Bono-Vandorme showed her independent thinking. She chose not to vote with most of her political group. She was one of 52 members who did not vote on an important trade agreement. This agreement was between the European Union and Canada.
