Audie N. Cornish (born October 9, 1979) is a well-known American journalist. She used to be a co-host for NPR's popular news show, All Things Considered. Now, she works as an anchor and correspondent for CNN. She also hosts a podcast called The Assignment.

Audie Cornish's Early Life and Education
Audie Cornish was born in Randolph, Massachusetts. Her parents came from Jamaica.
She went to Randolph High School. Later, she studied journalism at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. While in college, she worked as an intern at NPR. She also helped out at the campus radio station, WMUA.
Audie Cornish's Journalism Career
Audie Cornish has worked in many different places. She reported for the NPR station WBUR. She also worked for the Associated Press in Boston. Later, she reported for NPR from 10 southern states. She also covered news from Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.
In 2005, she won an award for her reporting. She shared the first prize in the National Awards for Education Writing. This was for a study about the difference in school success between different groups. Audie Cornish is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. This group supports Black journalists.
Working at NPR: Weekend Edition and All Things Considered
On September 4, 2011, Audie Cornish started hosting Weekend Edition Sunday on NPR. She took over from Liane Hansen, who had hosted the show for over 20 years.
In December 2011, Audie announced she would leave Weekend Edition. She moved to co-host All Things Considered in January 2012. This was during the 2012 election year. Rachel Martin took her place on Weekend Edition.
Audie was supposed to co-host All Things Considered just for the election year. But in January 2013, NPR announced she would stay. She continued to be a host for the popular show.
In August 2017, Audie took time off from NPR. This was for her maternity leave. During this time, she wrote interviews for The New York Times Magazine. All Things Considered is a very popular show. About 14 million people listen to it every week.
On January 4, 2022, Audie Cornish announced she was leaving NPR. She said she wanted to "try something new." Other hosts from diverse backgrounds also left NPR around that time.
In January 2025, it was announced that Audie Cornish would host a new show. It will be an hour-long version of CNN This Morning. This new show is set to start in March 2025.

From 2018 to 2019, Audie Cornish hosted a show called Profile. This was an interview show for BuzzFeed News. It was shown only on Facebook. Facebook helped pay for the show. Each episode of Profile featured a different newsmaker. Viewers could hear from important people in politics, business, and entertainment.
