The Regionalliga Mitte is a football league in Austria. It's one of three leagues at the third level of Austrian football. This league includes teams from Upper Austria, Styria, Carinthia, and East Tyrol. It's the top league for amateur (non-professional) football teams in Austria.
The team that wins the Regionalliga Mitte championship gets a chance to move up. They play a special match against the champion of the Regionalliga West. The winner of this match can get promoted to a higher professional league.
In the 2010/11 season, the LASK Juniors team won the league. However, in Austria, the second teams of professional clubs are not allowed to move up to professional football leagues. So, FC Blau-Weiß Linz, who finished second that season, played the promotion match instead. They won against WSG Wattens and were promoted to the Austrian Football First League.
