Kapfenberger SV is an Austrian football club from Kapfenberg, a town in Styria. The team is often called Kapfenberg for short. They were founded in 1919 as Kapfenberger SC.
In the 2007–08 season, they won the Austrian Football First League. This big win meant they were promoted to the Austrian Bundesliga, which is the top football league in Austria! The club changed its name to Kapfenberger SV in 1947. Today, they play in the Austrian Second League, which is the second-highest level of football in Austria.
