Where is Avis?
Avis is located in the southeastern part of Clinton County, Pennsylvania. It sits on the north side of the valley of the West Branch Susquehanna River. This river flows about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Avis.
A major road, U.S. Route 220, runs along the southern edge of the borough. You can get to Avis from this road using Exit 118 or Exit 120.
Nearby towns include Jersey Shore, which is about 3 miles (4.8 km) to the east. Williamsport is further east, about 18 miles (29 km) away via US 220. To the west, Lock Haven, the main town of Clinton County, is about 8 miles (13 km) away.
